Frequently asked questions
Is there a time of day that is best for photos?
Often, the best glowy lighting is before sunset. This varies through the year, but I always keep an eye on this and try to book us in about an hour before sunset. The temperature at this time of day is often the warmest which is nice for spring and fall. Of course, we can meet at any time you'd like! Sunrise sessions have a really special quality to them too.
I book indoor sessions typically in the morning or late afternoon (I do not have a studio, I will shoot in-home/indoor location sessions or occasionally offer indoor minis in a rented studio space!)
What is the best way to book in?
The best way is to get in touch with me on my contact page and fill out my inquiry form. From there, you’ll hear back from me within 72 hours. (If you haven’t, please try again OR check your junk mail!)
Once we talk about your project, we’ll secure a date that works for us both. A $50 booking fee is required to book your spot on my schedule.
Will you edit out blemishes or our appearance?
I always say I edit out things that are not permanent that can be easily edited out. Signs in the background, dog hair, pimples or scrapes can often be easily removed. Otherwise, I will not do any extreme edits like changing body shape, expressions etc.
What if the weather is bad for the day we have scheduled?
Alberta weather can definitely be wild. If heavy rain is forecasted, I will reach out to you and work out a reschedule date. This is usually a day-of decision depending on what we have planned. A little rain and snow makes for some beautiful images, but a downpour or a full photo session when it’s below -15c makes for unhappy campers.
A little cold and rain does not scare me off, but when insturments or products are involved, I tend to err on the safe side and reschedule if the weather is looking bad.
How do we get our photos?
All photos are delivered through a private online gallery within 4-6 weeks. You’re able to download the high-res photos straight to any device . You’re also able to buy prints and have them delivered right to your home.
What should I wear???
Don’t stress! When you reach out to me for your branding project, we will work together to decide on the best options or style the shoot together! You can send me photos or screenshots of what you have in mind and I can help you out. I've started pinning some outfit inspo here
Can I customize a photography package to fit all my needs?
Of course! I'm open to discussing whatever you need for an event or if you're needing something outside of the packages listed here. Just reach out.
